April 8 – Richard Burnip’s Wodehouse Walk

Richard Burnip will lead a Wodehouse-themed walk for London Walks (note: this is not a Society-sponsored event). The usual fee is £10 but our members get a discounted price of £8. No need to book a place; just be at Exit 2 (Park Lane East side) of Marble Arch Underground station at 2.30pm and identify yourself as a Society member.

May 25 – Gold Bats vs Dulwich Dusters

The Gold Bats play against the Dulwich Dusters at Dulwich College at 4.15 pm on Friday 25th May. Purists may say “hang it, that’s when we have tea” but this year there is a post match barbecue when the teams and their supporters can bury their bats and have a convivial time. Speaking of which, there is a bar in the pavilion for members and their guests to slake their thirst during the match.

May 31 - June 23 – Love on the Links by PG Wodehouse at the Salisbury Playhouse

Tickets are available here. Also, on Saturday 9 June 2018 a few members of the Society will be attending the matinee performance. If you would like to join them for a chat or a meal after the performance please contact the website editor (click here to email), who will forward your name and contact details to the appropriate person.

June 24 – Gold Bats vs Sherlockians

The indefatigable Gold Bats play against the Sherlock Holmes Society of London at the West Wycombe Cricket Club (HP14 3AE). Play starts at 11.00 am and members and their guests should bring a picnic lunch and a thirst for a post match drink in the pub. West Wycombe Cricket Club is as close to the cricket ground in “England Their England” as possible without breaching copyright (see picture, left).
